Two gay teens were beaten up their classmates and expelled from school in Kenya after having sex in a bathroom.
The students at Maseno School, the oldest formal school in the country, were reportedly caught in the dormitory shower room.
It is thought they are around the age of 15.
Once they were caught, The Standard reports the boys were beaten up by their classmates before they were sent to the principal.
‘The principal claimed the school had no such people and such acts and warned that if anyone was caught in such acts, he would send them packing for good,’ the report reads.
It is unknown whether the boys were sent to live with their families, but unconfirmed reports have added to activists fears the teens are now homeless.
While Kenya has laws that prosecute against homosexuality, there are calls to decriminalize gay sex.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, in 2015, told President Barack Obama homosexuality is a ‘non-issue’ in the country.
