Ellen DeGeneres likes to send her executive producer, Andy Lassner, out to try and learn things from experts.
On her show Monday (21 November), Ellen sent the man viewers have come to know as ‘Average Andy’ out to the pool again.
He recently got swimming lessons from the legendary Michael Phelps and this time was paired with two-time Olympic medalist Tom Daley for diving lessons.
They met at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena and Andy confessed: ‘I’m a little nervous because I’m not great with heights and you combine that with water.’
He gets through a training session then the two head out to the pool where Daley strips to his speedo.
Andy checks out his package and asks: ‘What are you keeping in there?’
Andy graduates to higher and higher dives peaking at 7 feet and eventually does several synchro dives with Daley.
Andy’s only complaint in the end? ‘That hurt my ass.’
