Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow didn’t know until after their last dive if they had made it to the medal stand at the Summer Olympics in Rio de janiero.
When word came the duo from Great Britain had won the bronze medal in the 10 meter men’s synchronized event, they hugged each other then fell back into the pool.
It was a great moment of suspense because the pair had been battling for third place throughout the competition’s final round. They finished behind China (gold) and the United States (sliver).
The win is especially satisfying for Daley, 22, after coming in fourth at the same event at the London Olympics in 2012.
