Did you know that contestants in the ancient games needed to tie up their foreskin with a string?
If only the Rio Olympics that’s happening right now is conducted the same way as how ancient Greece did it.
In the ancient past, athletes were to compete fully naked. Seriously, what a glorious sight it would be? A sea of perfectly sculpt bodies glistening under the spotlight as muscles flexed and sweat dripped.
Well, the ‘Try Guys’ from BuzzFeed are giving the ideal a lil’ trial.
And on top of going fully naked and oiled up, did you know that contestants in the ancient games needed to tie up their foreskin with a string?
According to Wikipedia, some athletes in Ancient Greece had to use a kynodesme, which is a cord or string, to tie their foreskin up to prevent the exposing the penis’ glans, which was regarded by the Greeks as dishonourable and shameless, something only seen in slaves and barbarians. (Sorry, circumcised guys.)
And of course, beside jumping, running and tossing weights, the guys tried wrestling naked too.
